A while ago, I took some steps to clean up and simplify my life. One nice by-product of that has been my ability to resume running. I’ve spent my summer running — and it’s been great.

I had to start off slow — a couple of mornings a week, two or three miles — but have been working up to longer runs. In late September, I ran my first ten kilometer race in I don’t even know how long. And I didn’t die doing it.

Saturday, I decided that really, I needed to try running 20 km. 12.something miles. So I did it — and didn’t die.

Not bad for a guy who was told a year ago that he’d never run 10 km, much less something longer like a marathon.

So, 20 km done, I decided that, really, for 2007, I need to run a marathon.

I’m starting to work through my options for where to run, and when. It will be in Europe, I know — I never knew how many marathons there are annually in Europe, though. I’ve also started to do my research on planning my training, too — I think it will matter less how I train, than that I do train.

So, stay tuned for more on the marathon.

And yes, the blog moved. New server, new space, new domain. New RSS feed, too.? And those photos up top there?? Yep — flushed them out to 23 in total.
I?ve had people ask me about how I find all these weird, strange things on the internet. While I can?t share that secret with you, you can at least benefit from my good hunting. I’ve added a second RSS feed, for all of the strange and odds things I run across on the internet. That RSS feed is here ? try adding it to IE or Firefox and then sit back and be entertained. Call it my effort to try and entice others to try out RSS feeds ? good ones pay off in big dividends.
