Let me see if I have this right.

The nation’s top anti-drug official said people need to overcome their “reefer blindness” and see that illicit marijuana gardens are a terrorist threat to the public’s health and safety, as well as to the environment.

John P. Walters, President Bush’s drug czar, said the people who plant and tend the gardens are terrorists who wouldn’t hesitate to help other terrorists get into the country with the aim of causing mass casualties.

Really? Pot growers are terrorists? What, they’ll get the munchies and make “dirt bomb brownies” or something?

They’re growing the pot in America, so it’s not like they’re smuggling it in (like they do for coke and heroin). And it’s not like it’s a big export business, and they’re smuggling the pot out of the US.

So, what’s the connection?

Those pot growers, they’ll be real popular on the inside at Gitmo…..

What ever happened to “Buy American?” If anything, the pot growers are helping the economy by not outsourcing to foreign growers, AND helping the environment by growing and using locally — no giant carbon footprint created by flying the drugs thousands of miles. Mellow out Drug Czar dude.
