Over the weekend, we made a trip into town and up to see the castle in Heidelberg. The purpose of the trip was twofold.
- We have guests visiting. This is their romantic get away, after a year apart.
- I’m starting to think about the upcoming Heidelberg Half Marathon, which I am running this coming Sunday (and for which I have completely failed to train).? Route is here, if you’re curious, but really, you’re probably only interested in the hills.
I could offer up some blow by blow description of everything we did, but really, it boiled down to ice cream, walking, a cog-wheel train ride, some time at the castle, dinner, and a street car ride back home when it was all over.
