I’m putting together the plan for shipping my car to Hawaii.

Very likely, I will end up dropping it off in Atlanta. So, I figured I would look at taking the train back to Augusta.

Oh, wait. Amtrak doesn’t go from Atlanta to Augusta. It goes from Atlanta to Denmark, CS — about 50 miles away.

WTF? Do not want to go to SC. Want to go to Augusta.

I could fly — for $450. I’m scared to see what renting a car — one way — would cost me.

I do have some friends in Atlanta — I may have to ask them for the favor of a lift back home. Ugh, though — that’d be 4 hours on the road for them.

You’d be surprise — one way from whatever po-dunk airport in Augusta to Atlanta won’t nearly be as much as flying. I’d go from Fayetteville to Raleigh or Atlanta a lot cheaper (and quicker) than flying. Try Hertz or Enterprise. Good luck. BTW, how’d you get your categories back?

    Cheers!!

There is a car service company in Disgusta (near the highway) that has a shuttle from Augusta to the Atlanta airport and back – you can pick it up in either location…cannot recall the name, seems like it runs every 2 hours….I toook it several times and the price is reasonable…not sure how far the ATL airport is from where you are getting your car shipped but they are not too far from Post…….also you could Go Greyhound (cuz that’s entertaining!). Good luck!
